Directions:
By train/bus/ship:
Some trains, mostly IC, from the northwest or west of Germany travel via Munich towards Salzburg, Vienna or Klagenfurt and have a stop in Traunstein. If you have to change trains in Munich, trains run to Salzburg every hour. The nearest train stations are Traunstein (12 km) or Prien (22 km), from there buses run several times a day at the train station in Traunstein via Chieming to Prien, or from the train station in Prien via Chieming to Traunstein. From May to October you can also arrive by boat from the Prien-Stock harbor.

From the A8 Munich-Salzburg motorway, take exit 109 to Grabenstätt, Chieming, Reit im Winkel, Traunreut, drive past Grabenstätt another 6 km to Chieming, take the first left.
