We pay attention to sustainability, eco-friendliness and social commitment:

Guests who come by train, bus and/or bike get a 10% discount in the form of Chiemgauer which is a regional currency that can be used in participating shops.

A large cargo bike (Babboe-dog) with electric assistance can be borrowed for a fee for trips with children and dogs.

We provide ecological cleaning / hygiene products, biodegradable soaps, detergents and cleaning products, toilet paper, paper towels and tea / coffee filters made from recycled paper.

The garbage is sorted and brought to the recycling center by us. Plastic bags are repurposed and used as garbage bags in order to reduce waste.

We provide compostable bags to be used for the compost bin. All food that the guests do not want to or cannot use up can be discarded in the outdoor compost bin.

We provide shopping baskets and tote bags for our guests so that they do not have to buy plastic bags when shopping.

Please be gentle with the electronics and tvs in the apartments, we try to maintain these and repair them in order to not create more waste.

We are engaged in a recovery initiative as a part of a welfare association for people who cannot find work. We participate in a mutual exchange of goods with them. Giving things that we do not need and receiving things that we do need from there when possible.

Our team includes young, mostly international people who are on workaway or vacation. These workers are here to get to know Bavaria and its culture, language and its beautiful landscape.

Young people from the surrounding area who come to Germany as refugees, who have taken our language courses also come to help, speak German, and to get to know new faces and things through activities like working together, cooking, eating and talking.
